things i like, appreciate, and things i enjoy

updates: 5/1/99 . 7/19/99

so i don't care what you think about my opinions, i have my own and so do you. this is *not* a hostile website.

i have a newly acquired sick obsession with rent and more specifically: adam pascal. that boy is finer than hell, but i don't love him for looks (well, it does play a small role. so does his hair and tattoo...those muscles...and his eyes...) but it's just his voice. god i could die hearing him sing. it's so raw and deep and sexy and emotional. i drown everytime i hear him. and my Rent obsession is completely unfounded. i just love it. i eat, sleep, breathe rent. i don't even listen to the radio anymore.

i also like bottled water.

first of all, this song is great. actually, the tune sucks actually there is no tune. the song is bad. but the message is wonderful. the lyrics are so important to life and i think that everyone should at least paid attention to the song, at the most have a copy of the lyrics taped to their wall/ceiling/door/car/mirror

yeah, i guess i still like the sunscreen song. i haven't heard it in months. but the lyrics are still taped to my bedroom wall.....then again, i haven't been home for over 2 months

"since feeling is first" by e.e. cummings.

i got this poem from the "Kill Devil Hill Poem of the Day"

in middle school, we made "happy lists". these were lists of all of the things that we liked. from people to tiny things like the smell of erasers. it was a very good idea, i think.

here's a new (and more mature) "happy list"

i like music. singing, playing, listening, imagining. a life can be expressed through music and it's a very beautiful thing

i like to be able to believe in what i want to, and not have people judge me on my believes. i like the idea of religion, i like science, i like evolution. i like the glamour of the vampires in Anne Rice novels, etc.

i like books. new books, fantasy, horror, science fiction, romance, novels, cheap airplane books, classics, ancient greek poetry.

i like the X-Files. it's a liberal show with liberal values and liberal people watch it
well, i don't like the X-Files anymore. i haven't watched it since the season finale. i don't even know if i'll watch it next year. frankly i don't give a shit if little green men take over the world, or if Samantha comes back, or if Mulder and Scully do finally have sex. that's why i haven't updated that part of this site in a while.

i like my bedroom. it's light blue and dark green.

i like the internet, it lets you explore places and meet people that you'd never dream of without it

i like to take showers. hot ones in the winter and cold ones in the summer

top 10 lists

cd's (as of now)

Rent. Rent. Rent. the musical. it's the only thing i listen to. oh my god, i'm in love with roger/adam pascal. his voice has so much emotion. i never listen to the radio anymore or any of these cd's

Shakira ?Dsnde estan los ladrones?

Les Mis (but just the 2nd cd)

Catatonia Equally Cursed and Blessed

Alanis Morisette Jagged Little Pill

Sarah Brightman Fly and Timeless (Time to Say Goodbye in the US)

Ricky Martin Viva la vida loca

the sunscreen song.

Sarah McLachlan Touch, Solace, Surfacing, the Freedom Sessions, Rarities &c, Fumbling

Sunset Blvd. just because i just saw it. and Petula Clark was *too* disappointing

books, authors, etc

Anne Rice. i'm infatuated with the Vampire Chronicles. i'm in love with Armand and enamored by Lestat. it's horrifying. i've read all of them up to vittorio in about 2 months. i can't stop. her writing is gorgeous, and i love how she weaves the religion into all of the the sacrilegious blood rights

(sorry, no more fantasy).

Archangel, by Sharon Shinn is one of my favorite books. it's wonderful and i recommend it to everyone. Jovah's Angel, the sequel was kinda bad, but the Alleluia Files was almost as good as Archangel, but the blot was similar.

Jean M. Auel. Earth's Children. start with Clan of the Cave Bear (though Valley of the Horses is a hell of a lot better).

classics--okay, here goes. Wuthering Heights. Pride and Prejudice, everything else by Jane Austen. Portrait of a Lady. Jane Eyre. Scarlet Pimpernel. Kim. Lord of the Rings (yes, i know that should be w/ fantasy). Les Mis, Hunchback of Notre Dame. i've forgotten a lot of them, but i'll add more once i update this page. Great Expectations

that's all. well, i like to read.

hmm.....blank space

i can't think of anything else to write.

and i don't like the X-Files anymore

here's more--fave episodes of the X-Files

Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, Mind's Eye, Milagro, Memento Mori, Gethsemane, Darkness Falls, Detour, 3, Irresistible, Grotesque, Pusher, Quagmire, TFWID, Paper Hearts, Unusual Suspects, the last 2 min of PMP, bits of FTF (like the kiss and the car scene with Mulder and the WMM), Home, Bad Blood, Triangle (cuz it was different), Tithonous, Tunguska/Terma

the Well Manicured Man--he is my favorite character (besides Mulder and Queequeg) and if CC doesn't bring him back to life i'm tempted to shoot him! :`)

long live the Rat! Krycek is perfect. he has to be the best (besides WMM). he is so intricate--it is impossible to tell whose side he's on besides his own. he is sexy smart and perfect.

but i do like musical theatre. you have no idea. right now, of the current musicals showing on Bway, i've seen all but two. and i don't even live near a reasonable theatre.

current favorites:

Rent. need i say more?

Les Miserables. i finally saw it. it was spectacular (especially Eponine)

Fosse. good music, better dancing

of course, Phantom.

and everything Andrew Lloyd Webber. of course
